Deliverables_ Campaign Branding, In-House Collateral, Print, Annual Reports, Explainer Videos
The Peninsula Hong Kong is a colonial-style luxury hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Founded by the Kadoorie family, the first hotel opened in 1928 and now stands as the oldest in Hong Kong. For many years I worked with their sustainability team on their campaigns and print material. We created newsletters, annual reports and posters, campaign branding and microsites, and explainer videos that were refreshing and resulted in high engagement numbers.
Too many projects to share; this is a sample of the Waste Management Guide. Created for the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotel Group (HSH), this guide aims to support the leadership team of each HSH operation to move towards defined ambitions by sharing guidance, recommended best practices and case studies in responsible waste management. The main goal is to deliver the highest standard of luxury, most sustainably and cost-effectively.
Having worked with the Director for Corporate Sustainability for several years, I was given complete creative freedom to work on this project. Turning this otherwise dry subject into something dynamic to explore was not just fun but made it so much easier to digest for readers.
For the online version, we created a one-pager to scroll through, including lots of animations and fun little effects.
In the decade of working with various Peninsula departments, one of my favourite projects has been the sustainability report campaign.
The Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability department of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels group came to me with a script based on their 2012 Sustainability Report and asked to turn it into an educational video. The video informs their staff about their sustainable practices and motivates everyone to be part of a responsible and sustainable business.
Another project worth highlighting is the explainer video for their Wisdom on Wellness campaign.
This video was created in 2017 when these transitions and illustration styles were still fresh and unseen! Together with my team at koenixkinder, we developed the script and the storyboard, illustrated and animated the visuals, and managed production with the voice-over artists in multiple languages.
